The parliamentary elections in Burundi 2010 for the election of the members of the National Assembly of Burundi took place on July 23, 2010 in Burundi , Central Africa . Due to the obvious fraud in the local elections in the same year , the main opposition parties boycotted these elections as well as the presidential elections in Burundi that immediately preceded them in 2010 .

The ruling party National Council for the Defense of Democracy - Forces for the Defense of Democracy (NCDD – FDD) of the previous President Pierre Nkurunziza reached 81 of the 106 seats to be awarded in the National Assembly, the party Union for National Progress (UPRONA) 17 seats. A smaller party gained five seats, while three seats were reserved for the Twa ethnic minority . According to official information, 67% of those eligible to vote took part in the elections.
