history

"Parocktikum" is a word creation from Panoptikum and rock (music). In March 1986 the program was broadcast for the first time. It was part of the program of the DT64 youth broadcaster , which also became independent. Lutz Schramm was the moderator until the program was discontinued . Broadcasting times were soon extended. The program ran on January 1, 1987 from 0:00 to 5:00. Preferably were hard rock , indie rock - and punk tracks played by local musicians, but also the music of the first hiphop -Bands the GDR has been sent. Since there were hardly any official records of the bands played until the political change , mainly self-produced, not or hardly censored music cassettes were played.

After the long-playing record Kleeblatt No. 23 - The other bands was released in 1988 by the official record label Amiga , Amiga released the LP Parocktikum in 1989 , which was also a compilation of titles by the "other bands".

With the settlement of DT64 on 31 December 1991 was Parocktikum from ORB transmitter Rock Radio B accepted. The show ran there until February 1993.

Airtime

Soon after the program started, the broadcasting time was doubled to one hour every 14 days. From 1986 it ran weekly. From December 1987 to March 1990 Parocktikum was broadcast every Saturday from 10 p.m. to midnight on the frequencies of DT64.
