The Parodos Verlag is a philosophical book publisher based in Berlin . The publisher's focus is on philosophy , psychiatry , cultural studies , social science and philosophical non-fiction .

history

Parodos Verlag was founded in 2005 by Ulf Heuner in Berlin as a specialist philosophical publisher. Later essays and non-fiction books were added as items on the program. A particular focus of the publishing house is the collaboration between philosophy, psychiatry, psychology and psychoanalysis. In this area, there has been a cooperation with the Society for Philosophy and Sciences of the Psyche e. V., the u. a. the text collection Psychopathology of the inconspicuous by the psychopathologist Wolfgang Blankenburg has published. The book has been translated into Japanese. In 2012, Blankenburg's habilitation thesis The Loss of Natural Self-evident. An article on the psychopathology of the schizophrenic alienation reissued by Parodos Verlag, which was translated into Chinese in 2019.

Parodos Verlag delivers to the book trade via the joint publishing house GVA in Göttingen and is regularly represented at the Leipzig Book Fair. Some of his books have also been published as ebooks .
