The Pars Museum in Shiraz

The Pars Museum ( Persian موزه پارس) is the city museum of Shiraz . The octagonal garden pavilion originally named Kolāh Farangi is located in the city's Nazar garden. Tile work with floral motifs and hunting scenes typical of the 18th century decorate the outer walls.

During the Zand dynasty , the building built under Karim Khan Zand hosted royal visits. In 1852 it was converted into a museum and restored in 1901. Karim Khan Zand's tomb was originally located in the eastern part of the building.

The museum houses valuable exhibits on the Fars region and its dynasties, some of which go back to the 2nd millennium. v. Go back. There are also eleven paintings by Aqa Sadeq, a well-known Persian artist of the 18th century.
