Parsec is desktop capturing freeware that is used for cloud-based gaming via streaming video. The software streamed the desktop content over an Internet connection that can be controlled remotely . Parsec can also be used as low-latency desktop sharing software.

Partnerships

Parsec includes a simple user interface for connecting to pre-configured virtual machines hosted by Amazon Web Services and Paperspace . In January 2018, Parsec developed the OMEN Game Stream service in cooperation with Hewlett-Packard , a free cloud gaming service for OMEN computers from HP based on Parsec technology.
