The Party of German Democrats (PDD) was a small German party . It existed from 1990 to 2000. The seat of the party was the place of residence of the chairman in the Swabian city of Königsbrunn .

history

It was founded on September 16, 1990 as the Christian Social Rights Party of German Democrats (CSR-PDD). Although the party explicitly included the term Christian in its name, its program made little reference to Christian values. On January 16, 1991, the party's documents were deposited with the Federal Returning Officer.

The party entered the election for the Bavarian state parliament in the constituency of Swabia in autumn 1994 . However, a ruling by the Munich Higher Regional Court previously forced the renaming of the party, which from April 24, 1994 was the German Democratic Party. It achieved 777 first votes (= 0.0%) and 551 second votes (= 0.0%).

In the local elections in the spring of 1996, she also ran only in the administrative district of Swabia and received 455 votes (= 0.0%).

There were always doubts about the party's ability to work. Statistics from the German Bundestag at the end of 1991 showed only 15 members. In 2000 the party dissolved again.
