Party miracle

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The integrative power of the parties in the 1950s is called the German party miracle, which - after the party fragmentation and ideological parties in the Weimar Republic - led to a process of concentration in the German party system. Three large parties, above all the CDU as a newly founded non-denominational people 's party , succeeded in absorbing many small parties ( GB / BHE , DP ) and also integrating refugees and displaced persons . In addition to the founding of the first real people's party, other reasons for the concentration process were the economic miracle and the introduction of a threshold clause .
