The Parti Comorien pour la Démocratie et le Progrès (PCDP, English: Comorian Party for Democracy and Progress ) was a political party in the island state of Comoros .

history

The party of Ali Mroudjaé went in November 1991 for the first time in the opposition. She won three seats in the parliamentary elections in 1992. After the early elections in 1993, however, she only got one seat.

Mroudjaé was a candidate for the 2002 presidential election, where he received only 4% of the vote and came eighth out of nine places. In the course of the 2004 parliamentary elections, the party allied itself with the Camp des Îles Autonomes alliance in opposition to Azali. The alliance won 12 of the 18 direct mandates and all 15 indirectly elected seats.

The party nominated Loutfi Soulaimane as a candidate for the 2006 presidential election. He received only 2% of the vote.
