Pascal Mohy

Pascal Mohy (born September 21, 1980 in Liège ) is a Belgian jazz pianist .

Mohy first received classical piano lessons and then switched to jazz at the age of 14; he was trained there first by Benoît Sourssie, then by Eric Legnini . He soon led his own trio, with whom he released his debut Automne 08 on Igloo Records in 2009. He expanded this trio into a quartet with the guitarist Quentin Liégeois; he also gave concerts with Walhouse of Jazz at the festival in Liège. He continued to work with Steve Houben , Mimi Verderame, Toine Thys and Greg Houben and since 2006 has accompanied the singer Mélanie De Biasio again and again . He can also be heard on albums by Gilles Respond, Sal La Rocca , Manuel Hermia and the Bop and Soul Sextt . In 2007 he received the Django d'Or as New Talent.
