Pascual Aláez Medina
Pascual Aláez Medina OMI (born May 11, 1917 in Villaverde de Arcayos , † July 24, 1936 in Pozuelo , Madrid ) was a Spanish Oblate of the Immaculate Virgin Mary .
He took his first vows on August 16, 1935. On July 22, 1936, as part of the religious persecution in Spain, he was taken prisoner together with his confreres in their own monastery and on July 24, 1936, he was executed along with six other Oblates.
The beatification of the 22 Spanish martyrs of the Oblates, including Pascual Aláez Medina, took place on December 17, 2011 in the Cathedral of Madrid.
