Paso del Cerro is a town in Uruguay .
geography
Paso del Cerro is located in the northern part of Uruguay in the area of the Tacuarembó Department in Sector 5 near the border with the neighboring Rivera department . Not far east of the village flows the Río Tacuarembó , north of its right-hand tributary Arroyo Tranqueritas . Another right-hand tributary of the Río Tacuarembó runs a few kilometers south with the Arroyo Carpintería , which flows into it near the landmark, also known as Paso del Cerro . The areas south to west of the town of Paso del Cerro are called Cuchilla de la Palma , Sierra de las Sepulturas and Cuchilla de Rincón . The closest settlement to the north from Paso del Cerro is Laureles . About halfway between these two places is Cerro Crawford .
Infrastructure
The AFE railway line Montevideo - Tacuarembó - Rivera runs through the village .
