Pasquale Cajano

Pasquale Cajano (born August 19, 1921 as Pasquale Cagiano , † October 24, 2000 ) was an Italian-American actor . After playing cameo appearances twice in the Scorsese films Time of Innocence and Where Evil Lies , his friend Martin Scorsese hired him in 1995 for his film Casino for the role of mafia boss Remo Gaggi, a character based on the real figure Joseph Aiuppa , Bosses of the Chicago Outfit , is based.

After Casino , Cajano played small roles in Big Night , Sleepers, and The Impostors . Cajano then starred alongside Robert De Niro in the hit comedy Analyze This . Pasquale Cajano was also known as a contributor to the Italian Communications Network radio (www.icnradio.com).

At the age of 79, he died of prostate cancer in 2000 .
