action

The action takes place in the USA in the 1950s. Two brothers of Italian origin run the Paradise restaurant . Primo, who works as the chef, is considered a perfectionist, while Secondo takes over the business side of the business.

Secondo has an affair with Gabriella, Pascal's wife, who runs a rival restaurant. The food served in Pascal's restaurant is considered mediocre, but the restaurant is more economically successful than that of the brothers. Secondo asks Pascal for a loan, but Pascal refuses his request. However, Pascal promises to persuade the musician Louis Prima to dine in the brothers' restaurant the next time he visits the city.

Prima doesn’t come on the appointed evening, although numerous guests are waiting for him. Pascal admits that he set up the brothers - not as revenge for his wife's affair, but to eliminate the competition. The film ends with a scene in which the brothers and Cristiano, who works for them, eat in silence.
