Pasquale Prunas

Pasquale Prunas (* 1924 in Sardinia ; † August 12, 1985 in Rome ) was an Italian journalist , photographer and documentary filmmaker .

Life

Prunas started as a journalist in 1945. For almost two years he was editor-in-chief of the magazine "Sud", which he founded with friends and in which he published works by Patroni Griffi , Sartre and Rocco Scotellaro, among others . After moving to Milan, he worked for Il Messaggero , then for Le Ore, which he founded in 1953, and finally for the television station RTI.

As a documentary filmmaker, he presented a work on Benito Mussolini in 1961 and, after a short China documentary, the report Italiani come noi two years later . He also wrote some television episodes of series for the screen.

Anna Maria Ortese published her correspondence with Prunas in 2006.
