Pat Matzdorf

Pat Matzdorf , actually Patrick Clifford Matzdorf; (Born December 26, 1949 in Sheboygan , Wisconsin ) is a retired American high jumper .

Starting for the University of Wisconsin , he was NCAA champion in 1970 with 2.16 m and in 1971 NCAA indoor champion with 2.18 m.

On July 3, 1971, Berkeley set a world record with 2.29 m in the international match between the USA and the Soviet Union . Shortly thereafter, he won the Pan American Games in Cali with 2.10 m.

In 1972, he missed participation in the Olympic Games in Munich as fifth in the US eliminations.
