Sheboygan is a city (with the status " City ") and the administrative seat of Sheboygan County in the US -amerikanischen State Wisconsin . In 2010 Sheboygan had 49,288 residents, the number of which decreased to 48,686 by 2016.

Sheboygan is located at the confluence of the Sheboygan River with Lake Michigan . The city is located around 80 km north of Milwaukee .
The geographical coordinates of Sheboygan are 43 ° 44'59 "north latitude and 87 ° 43'30" west longitude. The urban area extends over an area of 36.4 km² and is surrounded on the land side by the Town of Sheboygan in the north and the Town of Wilson in the south, without belonging to one of them.

The Interstate Highway 43 , which forms the shortest connection from Milwaukee to Green Bay, runs in a north-south direction along the western city limits of Sheboygan. Downtown Wisconsin State Highways 23 , 28, and 42 come together. All other roads are subordinate country roads, some unpaved roads and inner-city connecting roads.
Two freight railroad lines, the Union Pacific Railroad (UP) and the Wisconsin and Southern Railroad (WSOR), meet in Sheboygan .
With the Sheboygan County Memorial Airport there is a small airfield 13 km to the west. The nearest commercial airports are Austin Straubel International Airport in Green Bay (108 km north) and Milwaukee Mitchell International Airport in Milwaukee (102 km south).

Many residents of Sheboygans have German ancestors. Sheboygan County is known for its bratwurst , for which the German word "bratwurst" is used. Music Conservatory
Sheboygan is the seat of the Sheboygan conservatory of music . Blue Harbor
The Blue Harbor Resort is a conference center, amusement park and recreation center that opened in the summer of 2004. It includes a water park called "Breaker Bay". The port is located on the peninsula at the confluence of the Sheboygan River with Lake Michigan.
Rocket launch site
Since 1995, Sheboygan has launched various smaller rockets with peak heights of up to 3000 meters as part of the "Rockets for Schoolchildren" project. In addition, sounding rockets of the Super Loki type with summit heights of 80 kilometers have already been launched by the Florida Space Institute in Sheboygan .
