Janet Ertel
Janet Ertel , born Janet Buschmann , (* 21st September 1913 in Sheboygan , Wisconsin ; † 22. November 1988 ibid) was an American singer and member of the a cappella - girl group The Chordettes .
She was a singer and a founding member of The Chordettes . In 1954 she married Archie Bleyer . Her daughter Jacqueline ("Jackie", born 1940, father John Ertel) married Phil Everly of The Everly Brothers . She was there as a singer until the Chordettes dissolved. In 1988 she succumbed to her longstanding cancer.
