The Patna University is a state university in Patna in the Indian state of Bihar and one of the oldest universities in the subcontinent.

history

It was founded in 1917 ; As the 7th university to be founded in what was then British India , it is one of the oldest universities on the Indian subcontinent . For about 4 decades the university was also responsible for academic education in Nepal and Orissa .
