Patricia Amorim

Patrícia Filler Amorim (born February 13, 1969 in Rio de Janeiro ) is a former Brazilian swimmer and football official.

She took part in the 1988 Olympic Games in Seoul . On December 7th, 2009 she was elected president of the Brazilian soccer club Flamengo Rio de Janeiro and held this office for three years until she lost her successor Eduardo Bandeira de Mello in a new election in December 2012 .

As a local politician, she was a member of the Partido da Social Democracia Brasileira (PSDB) and was elected to the city chamber of Rio de Janeiro in 2000 with 24,651 votes, where she campaigned for sports issues. Here she was re-elected in the 2004 and 2008 local elections with 21,140 votes. In the 2012 election she lost with 11,687 votes and had to resign.
