Patrick Bettig (born September 28, 1992 in Attendorn ) is a former German handball player . He played on the left back position and was under contract with TuS Ferndorf in the 2nd handball league .

Career

Playing handball began Bettig at the SG Attendorn-Ennest. At the age of 15, the back player moved to the youth department of SG Schalksmühle-Halver , where he played in the top division. In his first year as an A-youth, Bettig played in the A-youth district league and also played with the 2nd men's team in the association league. In his last year of youth he joined the TuS Ferndorf , with which he competed in the A youth regional league.

In his first year as a men's player he ran for the Ferndorf 2nd men's team in the association league. After Ferndorf was promoted to the 2nd Bundesliga in 2012, he was a member of the 1st men's team. In his first season in the second division, however, he was only used sporadically. When Ferndorf was relegated back to the 3rd division the following year , Bettig received larger shares of the game. In 2014 he returned to the 2nd Bundesliga with Ferndorf. He ended his career after the 2017/18 season.
