Patrick O'Flynn

Patrick James O'Flynn (born August 29, 1965 in Cambridge ) is a British journalist and politician ( UKIP , SDP ).

Life

O'Flynn attended Parkside Community College and Long Road Sixth Form College. He studied at King's College , Cambridge and City University London , where he received a degree in journalism. He then worked as a commentator and editor for the tabloid Daily Express .

From 2014 to July 1, 2019, O'Flynn was a Member of the European Parliament . There he was a member of the Committee on Economic and Monetary Affairs . He was elected for the UK Independence Party (UKIP), but left the party in November 2018 due to the shift to the right and joined the Social Democratic Party .
