Economic and Monetary Affairs Committee

The Committee on Economic and Monetary Affairs ( ECON of English: Economic and Monetary Affairs Committee ) is a committee of the European Parliament , chaired by Irene Tinagli ( PD / S & D ).

The responsibilities of the committee include a. the economic and monetary policy , the free payment transactions, tax and competition issues, maintenance of relationships with relevant organizations and institutions as well as the regulation and supervision of financial institutions and - markets .

The committee was previously also known as the Economic, Monetary and Industrial Policy Committee .
