Patrick Schramm

Patrick Schramm (born December 31, 1974 ) is a German opera singer (bass).

Life

Patrick Schramm studied opera singing at the State University for Music and Performing Arts Mannheim with Rudolf Piernay. He is currently a student of Carol Meyer-Bruetting.

In 2005, Patrick Schramm was selected to represent Germany at the renowned "BBC Singer of the World" singing competition in Cardiff .

In the 2004/2005 season he was a member of the International Opera Studio in Amsterdam , where he could be heard in Don Quichotte by Massenet , in Der Schauspieldirektor von Mozart and at the Nederlandse Opera in Amsterdam in Tea by Tan Dun . In the 2005/2006 season, Patrick Schramm was a member of the ensemble at the Staatstheater Darmstadt , where he sang Seneca in L'incoronazione di Poppea , Caronte in L'Orfeo , Pistola in Falstaff and Superintendent Budd in Albert Herring . In autumn 2006 he made his debut at the Staatsoper Unter den Linden in Berlin as Angelotti in Tosca .

Upcoming engagements include Julian Pinelli in Die Gezeichen at the Nederlandse Opera in Amsterdam, Otto in Spring Awakening at the Théatre Royale de la Monnaie in Brussels and the first craftsman in Wozzeck at the Opéra Bastille in Paris.
