Patrick Schulze

Patrick Schulze (born January 2, 1973 in Magdeburg ) is a former German canoeist .

Life

Schulze started for SC Magdeburg and was trained there by Detlef Hummelt . In 1991 he became Junior World Champion in single canoes over 1,000 meters in Vienna . In 1995 he won bronze in the four-man canoe over 1,000 meters at the World Championships in Duisburg . At the 1996 Summer Olympics , he reached fourth place in the single Canadier over 1,000 meters.

In 1997 he won the bronze medal in the single canoe over 1,000 meters at the world championships. In 1999 he was third in the single Canadier over 1,000 meters at both the European Championships and the 1999 World Championships .

Awards

In 1996 Schulze signed the city of Magdeburg's Golden Book .
