Patrik von zur Mühlen

Patrik von zur Mühlen (* 1942 ) is a German political scientist and historian .

Life

Patrik von zur Mühlen studied history, political science and philosophy in Berlin and Bonn . He received his doctorate in 1971 with a study on nationalism and nationality issues . Between 1973 and 1975 he worked at the Federal Ministry of Education and Science , from 1975 to 2007 he worked for the Department of Social and Contemporary History at the Research Institute and the Historical Research Center of the Friedrich Ebert Foundation . Patrik von zur Mühlen has published and written numerous studies, books, articles and essays on the history of the Nazi tyranny in Germany, in particular on exile, anti-fascist resistance and social democracy, but also on recent German-German and European contemporary history.
