Patten and Sherman Railroad
The Patten and Sherman Railroad is a former railway company in Maine ( United States ). It was founded on October 17, 1895 with the aim of connecting the small town of Patten to the main line of the Bangor and Aroostook Railroad , which opened in 1893 . In 1896 the 9.1 kilometer long route went into operation.
Bangor & Aroostook acquired the company on July 1, 1901 and incorporated the line that no longer exists into its network.
