The Paul-Gerhardt-Kirche is the church of the Protestant parish Hilzingen in the district of Constance . It belongs to the church district of Konstanz of the Evangelical Church in Baden .

history

Displaced families settled in Hegau after the war . They settled in Hilzingen not far from the industrial city of Singen . In the early 1960s they built a small church and founded the Protestant parish in Hilzingen. The church received an altarpiece in sgraffito technique: Jesus is calming the storm. The parish was separated from Gottmadingen in 1979 .

In 2003 the interior of the church was renovated; the altarpiece was redesigned and the church received an organ. In 2012, parishioners carried out an exterior renovation on their own and gave the church a colorful reputation with the project "The Pillars of Faith".
