Life

During his academic career at Laval University in Québec , he developed a keen interest in painting. After initially drawing only a few drafts, DuBerger quickly improved his techniques and focused on Impressionism.

In one of the numerous drawing seminars that DuBerger attended, he met Emile A. Gruppé, one of the American masters of impressionism from the "School of Impressionism of Gloucester". Gruppé passed on his knowledge and his influence becomes apparent when looking at DuBberger's works. However, DuBerger managed to develop his very own, individual painting style.

DuBerger lived in the city of Québec . He painted both in his own studio and on site in a wide variety of locations around Quebec City.
