Paul Faure (archaeologist)

Paul Faure (* 1916 in Paris ; † July 13, 2007 ) was a French archaeologist or archaeologist . He was Professeur émérite de langues et civilizations helléniques at the Blaise Pascal University in Clermont-Ferrand and an honorary doctorate from the University of Athens in Greece .

For decades he devoted himself to research on Crete , especially its Minoan period. He has also published on Greek topics, as well as the biographies of Alexander the Great and the archaeologist Heinrich Schliemann .
