Emil Paul Friedrichs (born May 11, 1859 in Gotha ; † January 26, 1928 there ) was a German brickworks owner .

Friedrichs was born the son of Louis Ferdinand Friedrichs (* July 16, 1831, † June 29, 1905) and his wife Emma AR Friedrichs (née Wolffram, * November 19, 1839, † September 7, 1895). In 1863, he founded the Louis F. Friedrichs brickworks on Friemarer Strasse in Gotha . The offices and a small farm that the family ran alongside were also located here. At that time there were two other brickworks in Gotha, with which the company was in direct competition.

Emil Paul Friedrichs soon took over the factory from his father. In the brickworks, bricks and roof tiles of all kinds and in special shapes were produced.

Friedrichs became a respected citizen in his branch and in the city of Gotha and eventually also a lodge brother . From 1885 he worked in the brickworks professional association, on whose board he rose in 1897 and was chairman from 1922 until his death. In 1890 Friedrichs bought the villa from Gustav Gilbert ("Gilbertsche Villa"), whose owner died prematurely. Here he moved in with his wife Julie (née Lange). Kommerzienrat Emil Paul Friedrichs died on January 26, 1928. His grave is in the main cemetery in Gotha .

As a result of the devaluation of money during the First World War , the Friedrichs brickworks suffered a fate similar to that of many other companies during this period. In the early 1930s (after Friedrich's death) the company went bankrupt and was dissolved.
