Paul Halas
Paul Halas (* 1949 in Woking ) is an English comic writer, best known for his scripts for Disney comics.
Life
Halas was born in 1949 in Woking, a suburb of London. His parents, John Halas (1912-1995) and Joy Batchelor (1914-1991), ran the "Halas and Batchelor Animation Studios". In 1955, for example, a new version of George Orwell's “ Animal Farm ” was filmed in these, which meant that the son was very familiar with animation and comics. He attended the London International Film School from 1969 to 1971 and worked in the 1970s for various studios such as the Educational Film Center and the BBC . For Polyscopehe wrote six half-hour films. In 1978 ECN editors became aware of him, from then on numerous Disney comics from his pen were published.
Paul Halas now lives with his family in Cirencester . According to his own admission, the best ideas come to him while walking or fishing.
style
Halas is primarily dedicated to SV Duckburg, the Mack and Mucks football team , and the further development of the Striezel Streunecke character . In total, several hundred stories have been created for Disney to date in which Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck , as well as numerous other characters, play leading roles.
