Paul Hodkinson

Paul Hodkinson is a British sociologist and university professor .

Life

Hodkinson earned a Ph.D. from the University of Birmingham . He was then Senior Lecturer in Media Studies at the University of Northampton. He has been with the University of Surrey since 2003 , where he is currently Assistant Director and Director of Studies in the Department of Sociology . His main research interests are youth culture / subculture and media / communication .

He has published several books, articles in anthologies and specialist articles, etc. a. Journal of Youth Studies , Sociology , Journal of Sociology , New Media and Society, and British Journal of Sociology . He is the editor of the newsletter and is a member of the UK Executive Committee of the International Association for the Study of Popular Music .
