Paul King (singer)
Paul King (born November 20, 1960 in Galway , Ireland ) is an English singer and video jockey . He was the head of the 1980s pop group King .

Paul King, born in Ireland, came to Coventry , England with his parents at a young age . After leaving school, he sang with the skaband Reluctant Stereotypes , which released an album and three singles in the early 1980s. Around 1983 he formed the pop group King , which existed until 1986 and produced two successful albums. After the band split up, a solo album by Paul King appeared with Joy with little success. From 1989 Paul King became a video jockey for the music broadcaster MTV and hosted the programs Greatest Hits , 120 Minutes and First Look . In 1994 he switched to VH1 , where he moderated the album chart show until 2002 .
