Paul Mishel (born July 15, 1862 in Danzig ; † August 8, 1929 in Fangschleuse near Berlin ) was a German landscape painter .

He was a master student of the landscape painter Eugen Bracht . Mishel's painting could not be assigned to any particular style. On his travels across Germany , but also to Great Britain , Sweden and Norway , he collected the motifs for his works. From around 1890 he lived in Friedrichshagen , at that time a place near the city of Cöpenick east of Berlin (today part of the Berlin district of Treptow-Köpenick ). His friends included the members of the Friedrichshagener poet circle around Wilhelm Bölsche and Bruno Wille . In 1929 Mishel fell ill. During a recreational stay in the nearby fishing lock, Mishel died of a stroke .

Paul Mishel is one of the almost forgotten German painters from the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
