Paul Pirsan

Paul Pirsan (born February 28, 1956 in Șerbăneşti ) is a Romanian agricultural scientist , he was Rector of the University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine of the Banat in Timisoara from March 2012 to February 2016 .

biography

After completing his studies, Pirsan ran an agricultural business in Recaş , Timiş County, from 1980 . In 1986 he joined the Agricultural Institute of the University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine of the Banat in Timisoara as an assistant. In 1992 he was appointed lecturer, 1996 lecturer and 2003 professor for crop production and organic agriculture . From 2002 to 2011 Professor Pirsan was the head of 4 Romanian and project partners in international crop production research projects. He was elected director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development and Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture in 2005. Since 2005, he has been a member of the regional parliament of Timişoara, regional director for culture. On February 28, 2012, Paul Pirsan was elected as the new rector of the university and took up his new office on March 15, 2012.
