Paul Prattes

Paul Prattes (born February 12, 1964 in Eibiswald ) is an Austrian radio and television presenter.

Education and career

After graduating from the BORG Deutschlandsberg , Paul Prattes went to the armed forces and trained as an air officer with the 2nd Air Regiment in Zeltweg .

In 1988 he ended his military career with the rank of first lieutenant and became a radio announcer at the ORF regional studio in Styria. When a presenter for the weather was needed in 1996 for the Styrian broadcast today , Kurt Bergmann , the director at the time, approached him about his flight training. Soon he became one of the most popular moderators in Styria with his daily weather forecast and was nicknamed “Wetterpauli”.

In his free time he still does motor sport flying with and with the Kondor military aviation group in Zeltweg.
