Paul Röschke (born August 15, 1908 in Fürth ; † July 11, 1994 there ) was a German football player.

Career

Röschke began playing football at the age of 16 in the youth team of SpVgg Fürth and was promoted to the first team in August 1928.

In the South German Football Federation discharged championships he came in the District League Bayern to point games.

As the runner-up in the Northern Bavaria group , he and his team qualified for the final round of the Southern German Championship, which was divided into two groups. He and his team clearly prevailed among eight participating clubs in the Southeast Group - with a six point lead - and on June 2, 1929 won the deciding game "Third participant in the German Championship" 2-0 against FSV Frankfurt , the winner of the Northwest group .

From the 1929/30 season again emerged as the North Bavarian champion, he and his team again finished second in the final round of the South German Championship, this time behind Eintracht Frankfurt .

During his three years of club membership - he played a total of 34 point games - the SpVgg Fürth was qualified three times for the final round of the German championship, he was only used in three final round games in 1928/29 . He made his debut on June 30, 1929 in a 2-0 quarter-final victory over Hamburger SV . He then played the semi-finals, which he won 6-1 against Breslauer SC 08 on July 7th , which meant his place in the final. The final against Hertha BSC, held on July 28th in the municipal stadium of Nuremberg in front of 50,000 spectators , was won 3-1.

A knee injury sustained by Richard Hofmann in a friendly match at Dresdner SC in November 1929 , troubled him in the following years; the timely puncturing did not promise any improvement.

In March 1930 he was invited to the senior national team's course in Nuremberg for the first time . During a practice game against a Nuremberg team - in the run-up to the international match against the Italian national team in Frankfurt am Main - he had to retire due to a recently suffered meniscus damage. The subsequent operation was less successful, so that the end of his young career was already in sight.
