Paul Sellmann (politician)

Paul Sellmann (* 29. July 1933 in Werdohl ) is a German politician of the CDU .

education and profession

After attending elementary school and grammar school and receiving his Abitur, Paul Sellmann passed a legal clerk's exam in 1957. The first state examination in law took place in 1961 and the second in 1965. From 1965 to 1968 he was the first alderman of the city of Neheim-Hüsten. From April 1968 until 1996 he was the senior district director of the Höxter district .

politics

Paul Sellmann was a member of the Junge Union from 1952 to 1970. He was state chairman of Westphalia-Lippe of the Junge Union and a member of the German Council. He became a member of the CDU in 1954. Sellmann was local chairman of the CDU Werdohl from 1963 to 1966, as well as a member of the state board of the CDU Westfalen-Lippe. He was a member of the Academy Advisory Board of the Eichholz Political Academy from 1969. As councilor of the city of Werdohl, he exercised his mandate from 1961 to 1965.

Paul Sellmann was directly elected member of the 7th state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia for the constituency 136 Höxter from July 26, 1970 to May 27, 1975 .
