Large-format monoprint paintings with US flags and charcoal drawings are typical of Weiner's works. His work is conceptual art, but the focus is on painting. Alexandra Wach remarked in a review of Weiner in Die Welt : "The American, born in 1993, gives information about the sensitivities of his generation fearful of democracy with black-soaked US flags that bear mourning bars." In Monopoly she wrote: "His gloomy painting can optionally be read as a late romantic ode to downfall. "
