Le Villars is a French municipality with 285 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Saone-et-Loire in the region of Bourgogne Franche-Comté . It belongs to the arrondissement of Mâcon and the canton of Tournus . Le Villars is a member of the Communauté de communes Mâconnais-Tournugeois .
geography
Le Villars is located about 25 kilometers north-northeast of Mâcon and about 36 kilometers south-southeast of Chalon-sur-Saône in the wine-growing region of Bourgogne on the Saône . Le Villars is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Tournus in the north, Préty in the east and northeast, La Truchère and Sermoyer in the southeast, Farges-lès-Mâcon in the south and southwest and Plottes in the west.
