Cortevaix is a French municipality with 252 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Saone-et-Loire in the region of Bourgogne Franche-Comté (before 2016 Bourgogne ). The municipality belongs to the arrondissement of Mâcon and the canton of Cluny (until 2015: canton of Saint-Gengoux-le-National ).

Cortevaix is located about 38 kilometers north-northwest of Mâcon and about 29 kilometers south-southwest of Chalon-sur-Saône . Neighboring communities of Cortevaix are Bonnay in the north and north-west, Malay in the north-east, Cormatin in the east and north-east, Ameugny in the east, Flagy in the south and Salornay-sur-Guye in the west and south-west.
