La Chapelle-de-Guinchay is a French commune with 4,121 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Saone-et-Loire in the region of Bourgogne Franche-Comté . Administratively, the municipality is part of the Mâcon arrondissement and the main town ( chef-lieu ) of the canton of La Chapelle-de-Guinchay .

La Chapelle-de-Guinchay is located in the Beaujolais countryside , in the Bourgogne wine region ; Here, the Crémant de Bourgogne , the Bourgogne Aligoté , the Bourgogne Passetoutgrain and the Bourgogne Grand Ordinaire are mainly produced from the grapes . The Saône limits the municipality to the east.
