Cortambert is a French municipality with 232 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Saone-et-Loire in the region of Bourgogne Franche-Comté (before 2016 Bourgogne ). The municipality belongs to the arrondissement of Mâcon and the canton of Cluny (until 2015: canton of Saint-Gengoux-le-National ). The inhabitants are called Cortambergeois .

Cortambert is located about 19 kilometers northwest of Mâcon and about 36 kilometers south-southwest of Chalon-sur-Saône . Neighboring municipalities of Cortambert are Bray in the north, Blanot in the east and northeast, Donzy-le-Pertuis in the southeast, Cluny in the south, Lournand in the west and Massilly in the west and northwest.
