Bergesserin is a French municipality with 205 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Saone-et-Loire in the region of Bourgogne Franche-Comté (before 2016 Bourgogne ). The municipality belongs to the arrondissement of Mâcon and the canton of Cluny . The inhabitants are called mountain esserinois .

Bergesserin is located about 20 kilometers west-northwest of Mâcon and about 48 kilometers south-southwest of Chalon-sur-Saône . Bergesserin's neighboring communities are Buffières in the north and northwest, Château in the north and northeast, Mazille in the east, Navour-sur-Grosne in the south, La Chapelle-du-Mont-de-France in the south and southwest and Curtil-sous-Buffières in the west .
