The Laize is a river in France that runs in the Calvados department in the Normandy region . It rises as Ruisseau de la Renardière on the municipal boundary of Pierrepont and Martigny-sur-l'Ante , drains generally north to northwest and flows after 32 kilometers at the municipal boundary of May-sur-Orne and Clinchamps-sur-Orne as a right tributary in the Orne .
