Clinchamps-sur-Orne ( pronunciation ? / I ) is a former French commune with last 1,131 inhabitants (as of January 1 2014) in the department of Calvados in the region of Normandy . The inhabitants are known as clinchampois . Audio file / audio sample

On January 1, 2017, Clinchamps-sur-Orne was merged with the neighboring municipality of Laize-la-Ville to form the new municipality of Laize-Clinchamps as part of a regional reform .

geography

Clinchamps-sur-Orne is about 12 km south of Caen . In the north and northwest the place is bounded by the Orne . The municipality was surrounded by Feuguerolles-Bully in the north, May-sur-Orne in the northeast, Laize-la-Ville in the east, Fresney-le-Puceux in the southeast, Boulon in the south, Mutrécy in the southwest and Amayé-sur-Orne in the west and northwest direction.
