May-sur-Orne is a French commune with 1,960 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Calvados in the region of Normandy . The municipality belongs to the arrondissement of Caen and the canton of Évrecy (until 2015: canton of Bourguébus ). The inhabitants are called Mayens .

May-sur-Orne is about nine kilometers south of Caen am Orne . May-sur-Orne is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Saint-André-sur-Orne in the north, Saint-Martin-de-Fontenay in the north and northeast, Fontenay-le-Marmion in the east, Laize-la-Ville in the south, Clinchamps sur-Orne in the south-west and Feuguerolles-Bully in the west and north-west.
