Le Hom is a French commune with 3,689 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Calvados in the region of Normandy . It belongs to the arrondissement of Caen .

The municipality was created as part of a regional reform on January 1, 2016 through the merger of the former municipalities and now districts Caumont-sur-Orne , Curcy-sur-Orne , Hamars , Saint-Martin-de-Sallen and Thury-Harcourt . Thury-Harcourt acts as the "superordinate district" as the administrative seat of Le Homs.

Le Hom is surrounded by Montigny in the north, Ouffières in the northeast, Croisilles in the east, Combray in the southeast, Culey-le-Patry in the south, Cauville in the southwest, Bonnemaison in the west and Courvaudon in the northwest.
