Barbery is a French municipality with 825 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Calvados in the region of Normandy . It belongs to the arrondissement of Caen and the canton of Thury-Harcourt . The inhabitants are known as barberigeois or barberigeoises .
geography
Barbery is around 18 kilometers from Caen. The municipality is surrounded by Bretteville-sur-Laize in the north, Urville in the north-east, Grainville-Langannerie in the east, Moulines in the south-east, Cesny-Bois-Halbout in the south, Espins in the south-west, Les Moutiers-en-Cinglais in the west and Boulon in northwest direction.
