Baron-sur-Odon is a French municipality with 939 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Calvados in the region of Normandy . It belongs to the arrondissement of Caen and the canton of Évrecy . The inhabitants are known as baronnais or baronnaises .
geography
Baron-sur-Odon is located on the Caen plain and is about 4 km from Caen itself. The municipality is surrounded by Mouen in the north, Fontaine-Étoupefour in the northeast, Maltot in the east, Vieux in the southeast, Esquay-Notre-Dame in the south, Évrecy in the southwest, Gavrus in the west and Tourville-sur-Odon in the northwest.
